Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 a week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000!
That's a better chance of winning than the UK National Lottery or the Health Lottery.
Each ticket has six numbers and each number is between 0 and 9.
There will be a draw every Saturday night when a six digit winning combination will be picked.
Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2 to 6 numbers from the winning combination.
Match all six and you win the jackpot!
The Big Ear Radio Lottery is run in conjunction with Harlow Council and the money raised helps us to support good causes.

Mike Goss Back with a new show!
If, like so many, you have missed the latest releases from the world of Smooth Jazz, popping up on Mike Goss's "My Place", you'll be glad to know a new show is now available on the loop this week. It will soon be available on our MixCloud page too so there's no need to miss a moment.
Easing in Gently
After Mike's major Heart Surgery, he's on strict instructions to make a gradual return to normal life - and not rush into it. But, you can't keep a good man down or away from his music forever, so hopefully we'll be seeing a steady succession of shows to enjoy, increasing as the weeks go by.

Happy Christmas everyone!
We hope that wherever you are, and whoever you are with, you are safe, warm, fed and happy.
Of course that won't be the case for millions and that is a situation we must all work together to change.
Christmas is a great reminder of what life should be all about. Family, togetherness, giving, sharing and caring for each other. Sadly, millions of the people in the World are having that taken from them, leaving them desperate and hopeless. That is not acceptable.
Change is long overdue.
Humanity can only blame itself. Perhaps the majority of us have become too self focused, selfish and greedy to care about who we are as a species. This allows, those who would control us, to gain ground and take control while we feebly focus on ourselves. We must wake up and stop that from happening. People power is real, we can make changes for the better of all, if we stand united. That probably means accepting that we have to take some of the power back.
Let's remember who we are as individuals.
Politics is promoted as democracy, but is it working? We are still divided into groups and thus set against ourselves. Party Political Democracy, as we know it, may have reached the end of it's useful life. Maybe it's time to fight for a new system where those who would seek to control the way we live, do so as a true reflection of what we, the masses, really want. Freedom, employment, good health, education, a future to look forward to for our children.
Let the New Year be a time of change, of growth, of re-establishing the rights of the majority to a true equality for all. It's not an unreasonable demand, it's right and just.
Equal Ability Radio exists to try and help those fighting adversity, to level up the playing field so we all have a fighting chance to build good, productive and happy lives.
Let's hope we can all achieve that together - by coming together.

XLN Telecom - Sharp Practice Exploits Customers
Big Ear Radio Founder Trevor Krueger is currently warning small companies of the sharp practice methods of XLN Telecom, based on his own experience.
We're here to help protect everyone, even our own
An essential initial funder, of Equal Ability Radio, and the family business of Charity CEO Trevor Krueger, is being pursued for a small amount of money "allegedly" owed to the Telecoms provider based on a technicality in their service contract that requires any client, who has contacted XLN to terminate a service provider agreement with immediate effect, to cancel a second time with instructions of "how" the contract should be terminated? A demand easily missed and, if not effected, leaving the customer liable for more fees, effectively for nothing.
Despite a long dispute over this "claimed debt" XLN Telecom are still threatening action against the small company, even though it owes nothing for goods or services, it's only "crime" to have missed this trip-wire requirement in the contract.
Big Ear aims to stand up for the little guys!
Naturally all efforts are being made in regard to justice on behalf of the customer and the services of the Telecoms Ombudsman and Office of Fair Trading are being initiated.
Meanwhile, it seems only right to warn current or potential customers of this clause in the XLN Telecom contract, so that they may avoid being caught out by the same XLN Telecom charge for nothing.

Big Ear Radio is always here to assist in raising awareness of any situation or corporate practice that may place our listeners and supporters at risk.
Important Update:
Since this post there has been ongoing communication with XLN Telecom and they have offered, and we have accepted, a complete cancelation of the implied debt.
We thank them for their cooperation on behalf of the family business, but restate our reminder that it always pays to read the Small Print before signing any agreement.
Progress in the Pipeline!
This week we should have joined the great music choices available on your Alexa Smart Speaker, but as we went through the process we learned that our current host site is not compatible, we hadn't seen that coming, so we've had to make some upgrade changes.
A New Host Site
In the next few days we should be changing to a new host site that will enable us to make Big Ear Radio available on your Alexa Smart Speaker.
New Website
With that will come a brand new website with even more to enjoy and explore with Big Ear Radio, plus more news, more information, and an improved live playout facility.
Scheduled Broadcasts to Replace the Loop
And best of all, a new scheduled output so you can catch your favourite programs at the same times every week.

Mike Goss Recovering Nicely from Heart Surgery
If you're one of the legions of fans who love Mike Goss's shows on Big Ear Radio, whether it's his excellent taste in Smooth Jazz, or his retro Disco Funk beats of the 70's and 80's, you'll be pleased to know that he is well on the road to recovery.
Mike had major heart bypass surgery
Naturally reluctant to let anyone down, Mike had to accept that a period of convalescence is impossible to avoid after such an important operation.
Thankfully we have a great back-catalogue of shows to repeat for a few weeks while he's away. Every one equally as good as any other in our archives and perfectly capable of keeping our listeners entertained while he gets better.
He'll soon be back to his best
So, keep tuning in to "My Place" and "Boogie Town" as normal and we'll let you know when he's back in his studio with the latest tracks and news from his world of great music, he really is an expert of his genre and we're proud to have him as one of our team.

He talks of systems some of you will have never even heard of and can tell you how long each featured game can last and, often, some hacks and tricks to make your enjoyment as intense as you can take it.
And it's not just about Gaming!
The games are only part of the show. Rayner also features the music that does so much to complete the experience, your chance to hear the full compositions uninterrupted for the first time?

We're looking for a new Country Music Presenter
Something for everyone
The one rule we have for music on Big Ear Radio is that it has to be the best. We have no Playlist rules or guidelines, every presenter is free to play whatever they personally enjoy and think you will also love, enjoy hearing and learning about. For this reason we search for as much new music as we can find and play tracks and performers you may never hear on other stations, after all we don't want to be the same as everyone else, what's the point of that? At Big Ear - we do things differently.
Right now we are missing a top-end presenter to take care of the Country content for all of you fans out there, including the line-dancers who are always up for the chance to dance.

If you have a passion for country music, an in-depth knowledge of current and bygone favourites, if you can deliver an hour of exciting and emotive country music every week, we'd love to hear from you.
